CO-ALAS Conference 2026

Gerardo Muñoz is a longtime educator with nearly thirty years of experience in the classroom, district leadership, and the nonprofit sector. He is the 2021 Colorado Teacher of the Year, and is the first Chicano-identifying individual to serve in that role. He currently serves as Director of Pathways at CareerWise Colorado, supporting over a dozen school districts and higher education institutions in a mission to remove barriers to the teaching profession faced by historically underrepresented individuals.
