About me
Elisamaria Heredia is a dedicated educator with 24 years of experience in the Alamosa School District, where she serves in the Multilingual Learners (MLs) department. In higher education, Ms. Heredia is in her third year as an adjunct professor at Adams State University, where she teaches ED-240: Mathematics for Elementary Teachers in both in-person and online formats. Ms. Heredia’s commitment to educational excellence and equity has earned her recognition as a 2026 Colorado Teacher of the Year Finalist.
